The side effects of methylprednisolone are usually mild and will go away quickly when you finish the treatment course. The most common side effects include a metallic taste, indigestion, difficulty sleeping, mood swings or altered mood and flushing of the face. Prednisolone works by decreasing the activity of your immune system which can make it more likely for you to get infections, or for infections to become more serious. Take sensible precautions such as regular hand washing, and avoiding close contact with people who show signs of infection.
