Food Forest For Us

The project establishes Food Forest demonstration farms with farmers in different farming contexts. These farms serve as practical learning sites where farmers can see, test and adapt Food Forest principles under real local conditions. Each demonstration farm is designed around the farmer’s existing livelihood, land characteristics and priorities. We do not promote one fixed Food Forest model. Instead, we work with farmers to develop systems that respond to their crops, soils, climate, available resources, labour and markets. Farmers learn through practical field sessions, observation, exchange visits and hands-on establishment of Food Forest components. After seeing what works, farmers are supported to adapt the principles to their own farms.
