DREAMNATURE STORY
Agroforestry season is coming
25 Sep 2026
We are heading into the rainy season, and for agroforestry communities, this is one of the busiest and most important periods of the year. This is when planning moves into the field, preparing land, establishing food forests, and putting agroforestry designs into practice.
Over the dry season, I have been busy supporting tree nursery establishment and training in nursery operations. I have just completed the tree nursery assignments in Mbeya, and Morogoro. And the next phase is now taking me back into the field for agroforestry establishment.
I know some areas, particularly the highland regions of Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya, have already started receiving rainfall. If you are planning to establish or improve an agroforestry system and would like technical support, let's see how we can align your plans with my field calendar.
4–6 October — Ifakara, Tanzania
Agroforestry training
7–12 October — Uganda
Agroforestry assignment.
18–22 October — Musoma, Tanzania
11th National Agroforestry Symposium and Tanzania Agroforestry Stakeholders Platform activities.
23 October–1 November — Morogoro, Tanzania
Food forest demonstration establishment.
2–5 November — Lushoto, Tanga, Tanzania
Agroforestry assignment.
