This year's symposium feels different. 1. Launch the Tanzania Agroforestry Stakeholders Platform. 2. Strengthen youth inclusion. 3. Connect Tanzania and international partners. For organisations and individuals looking to develop or scale agroforestry initiatives, this is also a space to connect with potential donors, investors, technical consultants like Aron Katosho, researchers and implementing partners. Agroforestryt is a system connected with business value chain model. Starts with inputs of quality planting material from nursery operations, continues through establishiment of the agroforestry (planting, management and protection) and connects to financing from donors and financial institutions. It involves farmers, consultants, researchers, development partners, investors and implementing organisations. The outputs extend to food, livestock, nutrition, restoration, livelihoods and markets. When these elements are connected, the opportunity is much bigger than any single agroforestry project. We build stronger systems that respond to different landscapes and needs while creating opportunities for people across the entire value chain.
