We’re delighted to share some wonderful news: Last month, Dreamnature received an incredible contribution from the CSR Initiative of the ION Group!
ION provides mission-critical trading and workflow automation software, high-value analytics, and strategic consulting to financial institutions and corporate organizations. ION’s solutions and services simplify complex processes, boost efficiency, and enable better decision-making.
As a responsible corporate citizen, ION encourages staff to participate in community-based charitable and fundraising events, one such event was in support of Dreamnature. Therefore, on 8th of May 2025, the company gave us the opportunity to present our project ‘A Food Forest for Us’ to its employees who generously donated 560 € to our crowdfunding campaign. This amount was then not only doubled by the company to a sum of 1.120 €, but they also decided on donating an additional 1.000 €, reaching a total donation of 2.120€ (2.975,80 TZS). Asante sana to the ION Group and its employees for their engagement for native tree domestication and community empowerment in the region of Morogoro, Tanzania!
We at Dreamnature are deeply grateful for this donation which is a great support for our project activities! We will gladly use this donation to establish a community-based nursery to raise seedlings, which will be distributed to our demonstration plot as well as to local farmers. Combined with our tailored training, these farmers will then be able to establish syntropic agroforestry on their own farms.
Thus, this project aims to provide several benefits:
- Increasing and diversifying food production through the integration of diverse crops.
- Reducing reliance on external inputs such as chemical fertilizers.
- Creating new business opportunities and increasing household income.
- Improving overall community health and nutrition.
